Since 2000, our friends at ZGF Architects have organized the Big Green Commute, a fun and commendable competition between local design firms to see who can rack up the highest number of green commuting points over the course of a week. LAB has enjoyed competing over the past few years, and (humble brag) have repeatedly placed among the top three in the small office category.

This year, we are proud to say that 100% of our trips to and from work during BGC week were self-propelled. Most of our team took the opportunity to ride their bicycles, while others opted for more creative forms of commuting. Our team attended ZGF’s much-anticipated annual awards ceremony atop a lush, rooftop terrace on a beautiful June afternoon. We are pleased to announce that we were awarded third place for the small office category. What’s more, Tim Bragan, resident overachiever won the spirit award for paddling his kayak into work for the second year in a row!

Thanks to ZGF for the honors and for putting on this fantastic event every year!
